Bnz was reading this over my shoulder. He said he would happily give you £75 for the scope. :)

Thing is I think the Dow stamped ones on eBlag are Ukrainian copies and you could pay 2-3 times this price for a genuine one.

Ukrainian's copy the Mosin Nagant PU scopes not the dow. The dow was copied after the war by the Czech's and used in there armies, they can sell for a good price too.

It was suggested that the copy market started as early as 1945 to satisfy the needs of the American forces who were constantly on the look out for a souvenir for home, so even even the 'All original duffle cut sniper' may not have been built until 1946.

I have seen articles a couple of times recently suggesting ZF4's are now being built in the Ukraine to satisfy needs. It is just another added to the list, the PE, PEM, PU, ZF4, Unertl and even the No32 Mk3 are all copied/forged to sate the needs of the collector/shooter.
