Why bother cast? Just grab a double barrel shotgun, load it up and drop some loose silver down the barrels...

What a lot of fuss to pour silver, all the author had to do was ask the company that made the silver bar how to do it.
At £645 per kilo it will make just over 107 124 grain 9mm or £6 a pop.
In 2000 it only cost £120 per kilo (Glad I got 1/2 kg back then)
