Something short?

Picked up this tonight, for next to nothing (Hopefully its old owner will join the forum, I've told him about it)



Sorry about the poor photo, but it was taken on the phone in poor light.

It started life as a Remi 700 VLS with a 26" heavy barrel, it was shortened somewhat by Stuart Anselm at Osprey and the crown done. I intend to use it for foxes/vermin - with the odd trip to the range to see how it performs.

Just need to work out a sweet load for it now - it is in .223

Not yet decided if I am going to get it threaded, will have to see how it performs.

Barrel is now 19" - I have not checked the twist, but I will "assume" it was the standard VLS barrel before it was cut down, so will be 1 in 12. I'll check it when I clean it in the morning.

Scope, I've had for an awful long time - came from a very nice guy in Germany - it is unbranded, nothing special, but has never let me down on the several different guns it has been on (From .308 to .22lr)

I'll see how the rifle performs tomorrow and post the results!!

I had planned to put a Nightforce on it - but it just looks too long!!
