Question on moderators

If you buy a rifle with a moderator that is fixed on and can't be removed, then a slot for a moderator is not required

Integral = forms part of the host gun = not an entity in itself
Removable = separate item = needs its own permission

Not quite.................

The "integral" type used by LEI could be screwed off for cleaning leaving a 12" ported barrel. The rifle COULD be fired without the moderator but was not DESIGNED to ( porting would cause a flash likely to burn the shooters hand / stock and obscure vison.

Hence, although it was removeable, it was considered integral !
