No arrests were made so it was just a clean up if you like. B@stard media crap again. An average story but it involved guns so must get it into the sheeps minds that Lincolnshire is full of machine guns

Well, there has to be something to do round there.Gazza wrote:must get it into the sheeps minds that Lincolnshire is full of machine guns

I was once doing a lot of driving through Lincolnshire and contemplated putting the car in a ditch just to break the monotony.

Hehe, you were in the wrong part of Lincolnshire then.Kungfugerbil wrote:I was once doing a lot of driving through Lincolnshire and contemplated putting the car in a ditch just to break the monotony.

Oh absolutely. I don't doubt there are stunning bits, like all of this fantastic country. They just weren't the bits I was driving through which made me long for Slough and Milton Keynes :)Ovenpaa wrote:Hehe, you were in the wrong part of Lincolnshire then.

Re: Firearms seized.....
I was driving from Southampton to Manby a few years ago..................I got out at Boston to grab a bite, and dropped my glasses.......one of the lenses popped out, so spent some time looking for a friendly optician..........on my way again, and in a dead flat featureless landscape, the silencer fell off my Citroen BX diesel..............as I looked in the rearview mirror to see where it had landed, a police car that had been following me stopped, the officer got out, kicked the silencer onto the verge, did a three pointer and drove back the way he'd come...................creepy place. Haven't been back since.

I stayed in a hotel in Lincolnshire a few years ago. Got up on Sunday morning to buy a newspaper and it was an 8 mile drive ...

That sounds like Lincs Wolds, NiceRacalman wrote:I stayed in a hotel in Lincolnshire a few years ago. Got up on Sunday morning to buy a newspaper and it was an 8 mile drive ...

I think it was Ovenpaa or maybe Christel that once said to me that driving into the wolds was like driving into a Stephen King film clapclap and it is really if you look at it that way, again, nice

Re: Firearms seized.....
One of the things that struck me about Lincolnshire was the bleak naming of a lot of the farms i.e. Cold Comfort Farm.
