Does any body have any experience of these? Anygood? It seems on paper to be a good idea.

Happy with mine. Does what it says on the tin and easy to use.

They are good but not robust. I dropped mine onto the range, cut grass compacted soil and the screen went with a black patch across it.

I wouldn't get one for normal use in front of the firing point as the screen is a bugger to see and you need to go forward to reset, easy set up though without the screens and no electric string. I got mine for setting up at the target to be used in conjunction with my CED at the firing point for working out BCs.

Also they won't register subsonic so not very good for a lot of my loads especially at the target 300 yrds away or the majority of my loads being around 1000 fps at the muzzle.

Handy for a deer shooter at the begining of the season wanting to check loads and zero and just drop it down in front of them

Wouldn't get another one due to their fragility and limitations.

They also eat batteries if not removed, regardless of their little idiosyncrasies I like them and have one in constant use.

They are handy for testing bullet pointing results as you can place one at the target end and at the firing point and measure start end end velocities and from there calculate G7 improvements. Some considerations, they do not respond well to be placed on a concrete floor in front of the rifle when shooting prone and give erroneous readings, better to shoot over grass or off a bench and place the chrono on a tripod. Also it is worth matching the angle of the chrono to that of the rifle barrel. A lot of smart 'phones have an app to measure angles and that is what I use.
