Hercules and Alliant powders
I know Hercules became Alliant however does anyone know if the powders are still the same. As an example the old Hercules UNIQUE and Hercules 2400 are the same as the Alliant badged offerings?

This is an evergreen debate, I haven't seen any real noticeable difference greater than normal lot differences and I still have some old Hercules powders. Some people say that they are a bit faster but in comparing contemporary data I suspect that any differences are more driven by lawyers that a change of the powder.
As always with different lots of powders use safe handloading procedures to develop loads.

No noticeable difference to me, but I've only ever used their powders that were suitable for shotgun/pistol loadings.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
