As in the title, has anybody shimmed a PU scope mount in order to get the pointer dead centre for windage? A Google reveals that bits of beer cans have been used (yes it was a US site!) in the past, any other ideas?
TIA

The above post probably contains sarcasm or some other form of attempted wit, please don't take it to heart.
Re: Best way to shim a PU scope
I have heard of guys filing off minute amounts at a time until they get a zero.
Oh and trying a few different mounts - there is quite a bit of tolerance from mount to mount.

Charlotte, beer can or coke cans will work just fine. Give it a try.
