Thanks all for the info 
It was specifically the M1 Carbine he wanted - He wanted to re-live his days when he was "up to his neck in mud and bullets" :lol: But other than that he's not really into 'straight pulls'.
It's a shame, but on the brightside, he's now talking about sharing a .308 with pod and scope :-P
