Hearty congratulations to everyone who braved yesterday's conditions and BZ to the North.

As for the misses? Wet chamber, wet ammo, and, from what I saw in a very quick visit to the back of of the range, some very heavy gusts of wind.

As I say, well done all.

Sadly, listening to the wind and rain, it is not going to be much different today.

Yesterday I went with the NRA club to the BSRC's Sporting Rifle range (down near Melville) to have a go on the Running Deer and Running Boar range. Something new for me, I've never shot moving targets or electronic targets before, some really nice people and most importantly, indoor firing points. I had a really good afternoon, thanks to any NRASC organisers that read FB.

Shooting for the week end stops in just under three hours time.

The sky is brightening, it is, at the moment, not raining and I can hear the birds tweeting.

Of course, those who have been out in the foul weather don't want to hear that, but 'aint it the way?

Yep! That's the way it normally goes. I was shooting 900 yds this morning and it was just horrible down there! Afternoon was called of so back home to dry of!!

I was shooting in Melville, and the weather was atrocious. I could hear a few hardy souls on Stickledown, but I'm not sure I would have been up for that myself.

Me and ROZ were some of those souls ... hardy or stupid - still debating the right tag!
(I know 20series will vote for stoopid :55: )
We were on point from 8.40 to 12.20 - rain did not let up once sign85
My last 3 shots I could hardly make out the target

Lets say "soaked" does not even begin to describe
Squeezed out the chamios twice -did not know a chamios could not hold that much water!!! :shock:

Was great fun though - learnt a bit - wind ran from about 4.5 to 8.0 MOA from the right
Flags were soaked - direction was steadish from 2.30 to 3.00
