Said they can't (read: won't) :/

Hi my first post

I have a 9MMLRR with Glock mags and had a few problems with it first time out. Same stoppage as in another post rounds not chambering causing buckled rounds but sorted it as below

Rifle
1 Strip the rifle and remove the buffer & spring out of the stock
2 Clean out all the lube from the factory
3 Polish the entire bolt with green scotchbrite pay attention to the bolt face and round the extractor and the recoil buffer
4 Ensure the extractor moves easily and lube with clp break free
5 lightly Rub inside of upper receiver and charging handle with scotchbrite
6 Lube rest of rifle and buffer with CLP break free
7 Reassemble
8 After acouple of days re strip the rifle wipe with clean cloth and relube with CLP

Magazines
1 Strip down mags
2 You will find under the feed lips inside the mag 2 black nubs of plastic cut them off flush (got this from glock forum )
3 file the feed lips back by 1 mm then re file angle (this allows round to pop out earlier and helps extractor go over rim)
4 New glock mags need to be left loaded for a weak or so to take the newness out of the springs. I just loaded them then unloaded and reloaded them each night for a week.

2nd time out 250 rounds not a stoppage ammo 124 grn S&B FMJ with both 17 round + 33 round mags

Hope this helps

And you paid how much for that rifle.....?!

10 out of 10 to Bob for innovation, a big, huge fat zero for execution.

After yesterdays outing I've given mine another good clean, sprayed everything with gun scrubber then wiped it down, sprayed with CLP and left to dry, lubed the bolt and action and hopefully will get out again with it tomorrow.

I really need a brass catcher, bending down is not one of my better ideas due to arthritis, also been off my pain meds for 3 weeks as I have a small and unpleasant operation coming up next week so everything hurts twice as much as normal!.

I use a rigid one from here http://www.elmfg.com/store/brasscatcher.html i've got a dedicated one for my AUG and a 'universal' one that can be attached to anything with a weaver/picatinny rail, which i use on my GSG-5 and LRA9. When i was buying mine i got them sent to a friend in the US, but the supplier did say he'd send them direct to the UK for extra P&P. :good:

You can see the rod that slots into the brass catcher at the start of this video;
