I ran it in using 2/300 rounds of S&B factory ammo, ot never missed a beat.
I went over to 125grn homeloads with 135 grn harcast bullets, although it functioned perfectly I couldnt get them to group worth a sh&t so they went into the bin.
I now use 124 grn FMJ bullets with 5grn of Universal. The gun cycles them flawlessly and groups at around 3/4" at 25yds.

Oh yeh,,its the uzi mag version, I have 3 X Bobs reworked Uzi mags and 2x cheapo copies theres no noticable difference.

have you slugged the barrel and removed ALL evidence of copper from the barrel before shooting lead boolits. BTW the typical hard cast boolits are far too hard for 99% of the uses they are put to. What load and velocity were you getting with the lead? The key to accurate lead boolits is their fit to the barrel.
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.

Had a much beter day with it today. Don't know if it was the extra crimping or what but only had 2 feed jams and both of those were 1st round from the magazine, loaded in 10's so 2 out of 10 mags.

Shot 90 115gr Berrys plated and 10 124gr Kranks value lead, plated grouped at 1", lead shot about 1.5" up and right of the plated ammo and grouped about 1.5".

I'm sure it will group better than that, scope mounting is not ideal but only temp. to try it out and the trigger is not exactly target rifle grade.

Next job is to make a brass catcher, I'd almost forgotten what fun it is playing find the 9mm case on the floor. After that I want a Mod. I emailed Wildcat to see if they would do a fitting in 3/4" x 16 unf but no reply at all :(

Give it a little run in time as well as the crimping and polishing. Likewise, when you raise your brass, make sure you resize as much of the case as possible, especially down at the bottom at the web of the case.

Were your groups at 25 ye/m?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I had a look at one of these the other day in Warwick. Was told that barrel choice determines which type of bullet shoots best (plated or lead) and that you wouldn't get good grouping of both types from a single barrel.

20m indoor range. I emailed SGC and asked about which barrel would be better suited to the 2 types of bullets I would be reloading and he suggested the 12" 1-in-19 twist, funny he didn't mention it may not work with reloaded ammo!.

I have the same feed issue with mine,(Glock mag ) only had it two weeks, straight out of the box loaded 6 in the mag and it jams. Using Remington 124gr MC ammo so can't se it being that, what i have noticed though is feed one in by hand, release the bolt then put the mag in it's fine!! Put one in the mag feeds no problem, 2 in no probs, 3 in no probe, 4 in and jam, I'm wondering if it's the spring tension in the mag that is too high as it's a 17 round mag but can only get 16 in it and that is really tight. Got onto em at sec and he said it was the bolt needed a mod. Sent it back for it to sit on his desk for three days before he touched it. Got it back today and its still the same , not happy at all. Waiting now to get a spare magazine to play with spring tension, also going to try my mates bolt from his to see if it still does it, will post more when I've tried it tonight

Cheers
