Highlands Range Day 11 March.

#1 Post by Andy632 »

Hi Guys,

Just a heads up for those lucky people who live within Highlands travelling area.
Strathpeffer Rifle club are having a Practice day at Cawdor Range on Sunday 11th March. We'll be starting at the 100/200 point and working back to 600 yards throughout the day.
Anything except HME.
Cost should be around £5 if enough people turn up.
You will be expected to assist with Butts duty.
Range safety brief at 09:30 with first shot down-range at 10:00.
Bring your own food/snacks.
Come along or email Strathrpc at yahoo.com for info.

Can't make it, unfortunately I'll be at the ice rink all day while my son practices as my wife is working.

Membership fees finally sent off, though!

Yes, got them last night when I came back from my sojourn to the Wild West (Ooter Hebrides).

Cheers Andy. I'll be there in April (leave app filled and approved :good: ) for the Service Rifle shoot, which is a depressingly long way away!

Just checked the map - thought it'd be a great coincidence as I am taking swmbo to a guinea pig show in Perthshire that day....er, but the range is a bit too far!!

Maybe another time?

Shame I'll miss that, not back home to Brora again 'till the 15th. Long time since I've shot at Cawdor.

Check our website Diary for when we're at Cawdor this year, once per month; you're welcome to come along as long as you've got your ticket with you.

102 views so far, wouldn't it good if even half that number turned up on the day? :good:

We had a chap come up to your service rifle shoot in April/May last year. He loved it and it looks a great range. We may well both come up this year. Are your Service Rifle shoots open to guests this year?
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Hi Mike,

Sort of yes & no, the trophies can only be won by our club members but any members of other clubs can join in and if sufficient non-club members take part there may be the odd bottle/trophy available to the highest scorer.
