ME / MV
The Mil standard for civ use of a gallery range with limited danger area (eg Bisley) is 7000J (4500J without HME procedure) and 1000 m/s (3280 ft/s).
That isn't set in stone - ranges on the big trg areas may have higher limits, and some ranges may be more tightly constrained.

They're pretty similar Mike, not sure the .260 would do an awful lot that the 6BR couldn't. Short range a .223 with a fast twist would be nice up to 400m. After that the world's your oyster! I've always liked the idea of a 6mmBR myself. 6.5x47mm?Mike357 wrote:Now I was thinking 6BR and 260 REM.
