6.5 Creedmoor subsonic

Anyone tried a sub load for creedmoor.
I get some pretty consistent loads in my .243 using Trailboss and mag primers..

What weight bullets are you using in the .243?

Trailboss and the 160 grain Hornady round nose could work in the 6.5CM and the 160 grain is about the heaviest jacketed bullet I can think of, after that you are down to cast stuff.

In .243 I use 100grain S&B spire points (flat bottom) over 7.7 grns TB.
Where do you get the 160 grn .264s? Would like try try a few, are they flat bottom or BT?

Flat bottom soft nosed, try mcavoyguns.co.uk I tend to grab them whenever I see them as I use them in my 6,54MS amongst others.

OK, now you have peaked my interest. Why would you want a sub-sonic 6.5 Creedmoor?

Here's where I am coming from: we all know 6.5 Creedmoor was designed to be a long-range cartridge for competitive shooting that stays supersonic to a greater range than, for example, .308 Win. To make it sub-sonic gives up those advantages, so why 6.5 CM? I can buy factory sub-sonic 308Win right off the shelf.

So unless it's the only rifle you have available and it has to fulfill a number of uses, I can't see why you'd want it sub-sonic. Or are you just doing it for the fun of it?

I have fired a 6.5 creedmoor with cast bullers using fast pistol powder on an indoor 25 yard range. Great fun.
