Re: Rifle Mags
There is no legal restriction to magazines in the UK. You can buy and have delivered spare magazines.
Re: Rifle Mags
I thought so, but thought there was a change in legislation pending.
Does this apply to magazines ordered from abroad?
I often work in the US, can I bring mags back with me from there?

Not quite correct. In Great Britain there is no issue, however in Northern Ireland, which is a constituent part of the UK, there are restrictions. In a recent BASC magazine there was a reminder about this.TattooedGun wrote:There is no legal restriction to magazines in the UK. You can buy and have delivered spare magazines.

no laws currently... from a UK perspective, yes its fine to bring them from the US, the US may not like you taking them out, but most folk manage this with no issuesSimont303 wrote:I thought so, but thought there was a change in legislation pending.

NI has several differences, one of which is the ability to still partake of pistol competitionsPolchraine wrote:Not quite correct. NO IT IS NOT. See my other post.
N. Ireland has different rules to Great Britain so referrng to the UK is wrong.

Where is the OP based ? If not NI then sadly its differences are irrelevant to the conversation.Polchraine wrote:bradaz11 wrote:no laws currently... from a UK perspective, yes its fine to bring them from the US, the US may not like you taking them out, but most folk manage this with no issuesSimont303 wrote:I thought so, but thought there was a change in legislation pending.

The impending legislation you were thinking of was in light of our membership of the EU, so it is not a given that it will go ahead - that said, with all the anti stuff being presented to parliament recently it's difficult to know if we would have "alignment"!Simont303 wrote:I thought so, but thought there was a change in legislation pending.
