It'd be more to the point if they showed how many they turned down alongside.................

Sussex and Surrey are worse than the figures show. They combined at the end of 2019 so from about December on things have gotten worse!

Sorted :)

Although Lincolnshire rank third they are the quickest for new grants by quite a bit and only fall back because they take the same amount of time for renewals.

Thing I don't get about these figures is Staffordshire and West Midlands are the same department yet Staffordshire is performing better according to these figures.

There's a young lady at my club who's been waiting 9 months for West Midlands Police to process her grant (I'm assuming there's been issues there).

But either way these levels of performance simply are not acceptable

Kent have always been cr@p since after the 97 Amendment Act. Just part and parcel unfortunately. A county with one of the highest gun ownership but a “back room function” dept that has been cut to the bone...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Greater Manchester - 50% longer at nearly 120 days than for a new grant!

One thing it does not mention is whether they are working or calendar days.

Don't think these figres mean much to be honest. My friend is in Durham, sent in his renewal paperwork for FAC and shotgun in November for Jan 19th renewal date, received a letter a few days before stating he was to accept the letter as an extension to his certificate fo 8 weeks. That has now expired and he has just received a Section 7 temporary permit but this does not permit him to acquire ammunition!! And it is valid for 6 months!!!
