Anyone in the Queue for the straightpull SLRS ?

#1 Post by dirtbag »

As above, mine will be with me "hopefully" Wednesday coming. But typically the Camb plod took a while to come round to my new home, and now need to wait for my ticket to come back :<.

I know these are going like hotcakes, and I passed up twice to get one, and this time I had to have one. Just wondering if any of you guys are in the same line as me ?

cheers

DB - will be back on the range soon

Make sure you post shooting it on your youtube channel, I would like one but couldnt justify it to myself, YET ;)
What is a Sapper? This versatile genius condenses the whole system of military engineering and all that is useful and practical. He is a man of all work of the Army and the public ready to do anything or go anywhere, in short, he is a Sapper.

Hi guys,

I have a 7.62/.308 slot on my ticket and a straight pull L1 would fit in very well with my Enfield sevice rifle collection.

I have only seen pics of the straight pulls, but I asume the front gas block is a dummy and I wonder how well they shoot with no gas tube?

I was told many years ago by a R.E.M.E guy that the gas tube on the SLR was also needed to add ridgidity to the rifle, has it been replaced with some sort of brace?

Can't wait to see some pictures!!!!!

Cheers, John

Apparently they are well known for thier hard extraction, not sure what the inners are like until I get it home. 3 years ago I wouldnt of touched a straightpull, now I have 2. Should have some pics up in a few days, I will try and take some pics of the inners as well.

Cheers, John
