1921 swedish mauser

#1 Post by idge »

Hi guys just a few pics of my 1896 carl gustav , it was manufactured in 1921 and it has an SA stamp on it which i think means it was at some point in service with the finnish army . I have to say all rumours are true these really are the crown jewels of all the mausers a total pleasure to own and shoot . :good: :flag13:

Awesome... I've always wanted a Swedish Mauser!

Particularly a m41B or a m38 (bent bolt) fitted with a short side rail mount and period-looking scope.

you should go for it lapua a swed carbine would make a great vintage sniper , for a military rifle the quality is second to none and the caliber is really impressive .

Very nice indeed. Always liked Mausers, and I've always been surprised at the lack of recoil from the Sweeds too. Yeah, okay, they fire a small bullet, but the cartridge isn't that small.

Again, she's very nice. Wood just looks right on a firearm.

i totally concur tower , wood always looks good on a firearm , i am a sucker for the old classics.

although the 6.5x55 does have a smaller diameter where the standard military spitzer bullet was around the 140g mark it makes the bullet quite a long one which as we all know can help performance (or so im told :-P ) .

on the left is a 170g 303 , GP11 ,200g 323 smk and on the right is the 6.5 lapua 139g scenar.
