most home based RFD's I see run ledgers, the local shops seem to do Excel based.

one RFD paid a lot of money for some nice computer based - do everything type setup- , then the enforced computerisation thing that was being pushed fell flat, so he went back to pen and paper.

Collins Cathedral Analysis book 7/14.

Accounts book, big and red so that I don't loose them. It has nice lines on it so that I can easily divide each page into the relevant headed information sections so that I don't forget to record something important.

Excel spread sheet for all firearms and ammunition transactions. If someone needs a copy I can save it as a Pdf and email it to them.

If you must use a book be sure to lock it up. Thieves broke into a gunshop, didn't steel any guns, just the RFD's ledger......a shopping list with addresses.............

All firearms transactions are done on line here, so they would all be on a RFD,s computer.
As part of the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s ongoing commitment to improving the service it provides to the firearm community, Firearms and Explosives Branch have introduced a new online application process.
Anyone applying for an initial grant, re-grant and /or variation of a firearm certificate will be able to complete the application form online. You can access the application form on either the PSNI website http://www.psni.pnn.police.uk or the NI Direct website http://www.nidirect.gov.uk/information- ... ce-and-law

Collins Ideal A6 single cash book for ammo and A5 for firearms.
I keep a dual record on spreadsheet, easier to search and the FEO likes it better.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.
