Magpul Mossberg
I have been meaning to post a picture of this for a while, the Mossberg 500 (S1) in FDE with Magpul plastics. it is the normal build, slicked trigger, polished internals and smoothed load gate. It is currently sporting a Vortex red dot however it will be moved to a rear ghost ring and front blade very shortly. The paint is a closer match than it appears in the picture however the difference in textures gives the appearance of a subtle difference.

I like that!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Re: Magpul Mossberg
Looks great, how long is that barrel?!
Re: Magpul Mossberg
It is a 24" cylinder barrel, in fact it is a so close to 24" barrel and I had to check it twice to make sure it was legal!
It handles very nicely in this form and the work on the trigger and internals has made quite a difference. The load gate and slides are Cerakoted black without any apparent detriment to the operation which is good as I was not sure what to expect even though it would have no impact in theory.

We put around 125 cartridges through it this afternoon and it was great fun against hand thrown clays :)
I have to say it is absolutely Mossberg in that it operates flawlessly although it is quite hard hitting when you are wearing just a T shirt.

Re: Magpul Mossberg
My FAC is due for renewal and I have added an S1 pump-action, the intention is to add ghost ring sights and a scope for target shotgun. What are your thoughts on the Mossberg compared to a Remington 870? also do you have any idea on the cost of the Mossberg/870 with ghost sights (the scope would be whatever you wish to spend)?
Thank you
Thank you
