I know this topic has been discussed before but found this on the web

I have not looked into the costs etc as there is nothing I want to get at the moment but it might be of use to members.

I think thats a brilliant idea my self, not everyone has people in the states or canada that will resend parcels back to blighty.
its all ways amazed me the fact in the uk i can buy gear and kit eastwards, europe and india and china for reasonable delivery rates and i do purchase a lot from europe for those reasons, people are very very switched on to small scale exporting and sales. I went to one such shop in Germany the once as we were driving through and i was amazed at how such a tiny shop could have such a huge website presence and set up.
and yet the states side its silly costs for postage, silly delivery times, import taxes galore and generally far to much flaff to bother with. you would have thought the country built on customer services would be so hard to deal with, we all know why there internal market is so great they dont need to but still missing a trick or what
a service like this would be great for one off like my purchases as i could arrange to get two or three sent over to them and combined to blighty, that suddenly makes a difference and then makes it econmonical to do so

Whilst it claims to "get around shipping restrictions" I would raise a note of caution that is does not get you around ITAR and EAR restrictions; beware of what laws you may think you are circumnavigating

There are several services like this which have been running for years.
Gradually they all placed more and more restrictions on what they would and wouldn't ship.
This one already have in their terms they won't ship "...firearms (or parts thereof), Rifle scopes, ammunition and associated products; bullets"
I wouldn't get your hopes up...

Think of the reason why US suppliers don't ship to the UK for small quantity orders. There are ITAR regulations on what they can send legally and they often require export licences if the item exceeds a certain amount. I recall that Boyd's stocks used to be able to send rifle stocks directly to a customer in the UK provided the stock did not exceed $100 in cost.
When an export licence is required it usually costs money and takes time to do this and US suppliers won't usually do this for individual customers. If the US supplier was sending a large order to a single distributor then it is usually worth the effort.
There are distributors who are willing to do the export shipping paperwork for you. I found one place, Vertebrae Norway, who are willing to import items from the US. Bear in mind you will have to pay VAT when they ship it to you from Norway:

Who said anything about circumnavigating laws, licenses or taxes?Dellboy wrote:good luck with that
Forwarding services like this *are* very useful for buying a multitude of products tools and parts, especially reloading related, and I've been using them regularly for quite a few years for rapid, consolidated shipping. One thing you can guarantee is that you will *always* pay VAT & duty, since it is usually pre-paid to expedite delivery. Having a US address makes dealing with many US suppliers much easier (though not necessarily cheaper), and once I trigger the shipment to be sent I expect it at my door in 2 days.
I use a similar service for Germany, where many private sellers will only ship domestically.

Any company who makes just about anything connected with shooting is required to register with the US State Dept . That costs over $2000 a year .
If they are not registered their products cannot be granted an export licence .
Export licences cost $250.00 and if any of the products on the licence application are products from a company that has not registered with State Dept , the application is cancelled and the applicant may loose their $250.00.
Export licences are granted for exports to a specifio country , although there are exceptions , mostly for big companies who have distribution bases in Europe .
So if Freds Gunstore in the UK imports gun parts and accessories from the USA , there is a 99% certainty that he cannot legally re export them to say Norway without written approval from US State Dept .
Most small to medium dealers and distributors in USA know enough about the penalties for breaking ITAR regs so thats the main reason they dont want to get involved .
Needless to say there are cowboys over there who will take risks for a few cents to deal with cowboys over here .
