LBRs on MOD ranges

#1 Post by Robin128 »

"Where civil club users wish to use the long barrelled Buntline Special or similar long
barrelled pistols that are permitted by the current UK Firearms Legislation restrictions on MOD
ranges they may only do so with the shoulder stock provided with the weapon extended and used as a carbine."

I missed this!

I thought there was no such thing as a Long Barrelled Revolver/Pistol as defined in UK law because they both meet the minmum dimensions for a rifle! :-P :D

Well, that's what my FLO says!

It is worth confirming this with the Range manager and the standing orders before using one on your local MoD range regardless of what your FEO says.

True - but I don't have nor do I want a LBR/P - I'm just being awkward! :run:

And why? Or is this Landmarc messing with something they know nothing about? Like running ranges.......?!!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

OK, so what about long barrelled pistols that aren't similar to a buntline special and that don't come with a shoulder stock? Or am I being daft?
