Yep, it is.
That big screw on the right side of the receiver is the takedown screw. Undo that. With the lever jammed its going to be a tad stiff. Used a turnkey that fits the slot. Once that's loose, a collar will prevent it from being removed completely from the action, swing it as I said, so that the left side of the stock, strikes flat against the outside of your right thigh, over the sofa or standing on the bed, or what have you. That will separate the halves. Don't worry where the stock lands, its big. The bolt on the other hand and the firing pin are small. They will separate also from the receiver.

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
