If you buy a 2nd hand rifle, which the rfd bought from someone, what warranty do you have?
If you bought that same rifle from the guy before he sold it to the rfd. What warranty would you have?
Unable to pick up the rifle now its in limbo.

NO NO visit where ever if required, have nice lunch then go to see the gun, buy it or not then home simple....always arrange to view gun late afternoon.bradaz11 wrote:ah but then you get a nice drive and a spot of lunch without having to worry about the gun you are totting around, likewise you can decide to go shopping or look round a museum etc you spot on the way backbnz41 wrote:"that way you don't waste petrol on something you want to see."
I look at it like this, if going to see a firearm in person, & then it turns out to be not as listed/damaged/rubbish then we have had a nice drive in the country a spot of lunch on the way sorted.
If it is what I was looking for then even better win win.
"then drive to the person and get paperwork sorted" May as well drive there in the first place....
Twice my FAC has been sent to me in the post once the envelope tab not stuck down from a RFD, second time the word ammunition was visible in the envelope window and that came from Essex Police Headquarters was my renewed FAC. That's why I will not post my FAC to a seller.

I bought my gsg from a shop selling it for someone, they put a warranty on it and fixed a problem mag without quibble. I assume they transferred it of his certificate as they completed mine.bradaz11 wrote:If you buy a 2nd hand rifle, which the rfd bought from someone, what warranty do you have?

Again an assumption, but I would think personal sales are buyer beware, same as all private sales?
