To many guns

#1 Post by Alpha1 »

I have got to many guns. Yes I know that is a strange statement to make but its true. I had a good look in my cabinets there is stuff in there I have not used in years. The type of shooting and guns I am interested in has changed over the years.
Some of it has no great monetary value. To me any way. If I want to get rid can I just give it to a registered fire arms dealer and can they just take it off my ticket. If I was to give them away it would have to be local and face face I guess and of course they would have to have a suitable slot.
Contemplating a clear out. So what do you reckon folks.

a friendly RFD may even store them for you free, but like the otheers say, before you just give them away to an RFD, maybe see if anyone on here wants them for a drink plus paying the transfers?

Use the for sale section or the freebies section as appropriate or give them to an RFD to sell or dispose for you.

An email round your club members with a list of what you have.

This thread is not a disposal thread so no offers or such discussions here or threads will be removed as has happened already.

Depending on what they are send them to auction if you get no other takers.

Easiest must be auction but they'd need to have some value id guess. Why not put them on here for offers accepted collection only?

Things for sale in the for sale section must have a fixed price, no offers.

Any more rule breaking suggested or actual and this thread will be locked.

Ok. So how do people sell
things on here and accept offers? Can people say ONO or OVNO or things people say when they sell things in the rest of the world? How about offers by PM only?

Just curious.

The for sale rules in the header are very clear, fixed price only.

It has always been so.

What happens off forum is between the those concerned but soliciting offers off forum in posts on forum is not allowed.

This forum has been going for over six years now with these rules and people seem to manage to sell their stuff OK by abiding by the rules.

As you have been member here for over two years yourself I would expect you to be au fait with the forums conventions by now. Or was your post just rhetorical?
