I so want an M1 garand, I'm just worried about plod changing their mind on their legal status.

! luckily for me, she doesnt want a big wedding, so i dont have to save much for that :)

don't forget shoes and handbags,bradaz11 wrote:I so want an M1 garand, I'm just worried about plod changing their mind on their legal status. They could change their minds over lever release & the MARS system rifles, life is too short. Think all the Garands are sold and don't think anymore to be made.

Is there a question mark or "grey area" concering the M1 Garand...?bradaz11 wrote:I so want an M1 garand, I'm just worried about plod changing their mind on their legal status.

Not that I know of, I have one, and also the M1 Carbine.subvers10n wrote:Is there a question mark or "grey area" concering the M1 Garand...?bradaz11 wrote:I so want an M1 garand, I'm just worried about plod changing their mind on their legal status.
Nice group picture there Neil.
Re: New Straight Pulls.
Like the wood on the M1 looks sooooo nice mr c when are we going to Bisley ?
Re: New Straight Pulls.
I'm not sure I'd want one of these. Owning something that did not function as originally intended would (to me), be a bit like owning a Spitfire with the Merlin removed and replaced with a two-stroke.
I still like the look of the rifles but I'd prefer them the way they were intended to be (and of course, that's not an option over here).
Just my opinion and every man to his own as always.

Re: New Straight Pulls.
No dont think so, these are new old stock actions Beretta/Berda made (unisseued) with new unported barrels (no gas system) built new in Europe for the UK Section 1 straight pull market. The M14 is made to the same UK standard all new parts.subvers10n wrote:Is there a question mark or "grey area" concering the M1 Garand...?bradaz11 wrote:I so want an M1 garand, I'm just worried about plod changing their mind on their legal status.
Woodsman,
Was trying for this week but will have to take a rain check on that, yes I'm happy with the M1 wood.
Thanks Lasbrisas.

I could not agree more, but you put up with things to be able to shoot one. It's only like those who want to shoot pistol they now have to be long barrelled and a bar sticking out the back, to be allowed to be used in the UK, or have a muzzle loader. We had one of the first 1911 .22rf lookalikes hated it sold it.Mezzer wrote:I'm not sure I'd want one of these.
