Becoming Historic & Scarce

#1 Post by Strangely Brown »

My "Hart" No4 target rifle, I bought this a couple of years ago at an auction unseen for £112.

Geoff Hart was a well known Cheltenham gun dealer who exibited at Bisley during the summer meetings around the mid 1980's.
I think his conversion of the No 4 is one of the best ever done. Geoff died a couple of years ago and his widow told me he built 80 rifles (conversions), some of them are on P17 recievers.

Easy to identify!

Typical Parker-Hale tunnel foresight.

Built on what was a No4 "T" reciever, that wont please the collectors, although this is much rarer than a No4 "T" but worth much less!

Can anybody indentify the stock maker?

Trust the new boy on his first day to screw things up!

I could see them, but apparently nobody else could, I have now coughed up the extra to link them to this site.
Apologies for the confusion. :)

Many Thanks Mick.

A fine rifle in the true traditions of British target rifle making, a real classic.

I like Canons too.

After years of struggling with non SLR digitals I sprung for an EOS 500D last year, I'm so much happier with a real SLR with real time shutter operation. Its almost like using a proper camera with film in it. :D
