Rossi dealer in UK

#1 Post by jimbob »

Hi all,

I have posted this in another forum but having no success with the suggested dealers.

Does anyone know of anyone who is able to source parts for a Rossi M92, .44 Mag, Lever action rifle?

Many thanks in advance

I think McAvoy Guns is the main Rossi dealer in the UK, but I don't know about spares.

JLS Wednesbury used to stock Rossi firearms, but they seem to have moved away from firearms now.

jimbob, what parts are you looking for? I had a Rossi years ago and still have some bits knocking about...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Sim G,

The rifle is with my local dealer, who is having trouble getting parts, so I am trying to help.

The problem appears to be with the Extractor assembly, extactor spring and firing pin as all have just sprung out while I was shooting! I dont think anything else is broken but I could be wrong as I have not seen the rifle for a while.

What parts do you have knocking around!

Hi Jimbob
Done a lot of work on a Rossi 92 38.357 I used to own. They are complicated to strip and a pig to re-assemble until you do it about 15 times. :o

The main problem with them is double feeding and throwing a live round out the top when operating the lever fast.

Give us more details of what happened when it failed. Unless you dealer has worked on them before he will struggle a bit, and wont be able to put the time in that you could do yourself.

Used to get parts from JLS but if it is just a spring you can try other avenues.

BTW I gave the effing thing away for free, hadn't the heart to saddle anyone with it. Sorry!

Got a Marlin now....Way to go :D

Thank you all for your help in this matter.

I have been in touch with McAvoy guns and they have been great, really nice people, cannot do more to help. I am sending them the rifle to have a look at, so hopefully if all goes well, will be shooting it again soon.

For months my dealer and I have been trying to find someone to help. After just two days being a member on this Forum, with all your help, we have some progress at last.

Thanks again.
