The "best" lee Enfield

Ovenpaa has the one I used to have. It's a great rifle, loads of fun to shoot. Sometimes I wonder why I got rid of it - then I remember, I got something even more fun, a M95 Steyr carbine! clapclap Which BTW would make a great scout rifle!

Haven't have the heart to do anything but really all it needs is a mount for a scope. If I could get a no gunsmith one that simply replaces the rear sight, I'd be happy. As it is - it's a light, short, straight pull rifle that fires a heavy hitting round (IMO).

I'd have to say no5, there not too bad on the recoil as people make out, although the most I've put through it was 80 rnds in one sitting and there something different. Picked mine up for £450 and it shoots like a dream, was my first rifle on my ticket and will be my last

The next slot I'm hoping the to fill on my FAC is the .303 one .. Either a p14 or more likely an Enfield ... I know this is probably down to personal preference but which is the best Enfield to go for ? (a 4T is out of the price range)

I'm sure with the help of a few of my mates we could assemble a reasonable collection of different Enfields for you to have a play with if you like?

Would only be at 50 Yards but might give you a feel for what you want to buy?

Best Lee Enfield? RAF-issue .22" No.7, without a doubt.

In terms of obtainable Enfields? I'm a fan of the No.4 Mk.1/3. Still need to find myself one of those...
