Re: M14 EBR Straight Pull - Scope
Scroll down to about 2/3 of the way down on this page - http://sportingservices.co.uk/scopes_offers.asp - and you can get the scope that's in the photo of the soldier wearing ACUs at the top of the thread. For £725!
It's a Leupold Mk4 3.5-10x40 with ballisticly calibrated turrets!

I've looked at these and the Leupold Mk 4 3.5-10x caught my eye. Hmmm...

You could Googleflop some of those and see what takes your fancy.
Re: M14 EBR Straight Pull - Scope
I have a Leupold calendar showing an EBR wearing a Mk4...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Strange just looking at these again. I've found it 200 quid cheaper than that price as well... It could be a goer!
Thanks for the link!

What, 500 quid for a Mk4? Is it the fixed 10 power, standard duplex with no illumination?

It was this one which is second hand @ £585. I've only just realised it's illuminated, which I don't want... I'll keep looking.

Re: M14 EBR Straight Pull - Scope
+1 for Vortex scopes - for the money I think they are hard to beat (look nice too!). I love my MRAD scopes - no faffing about having to convert Mil into MOA or anything like that! Just shoot a group, adjust using the reticle and hey presto! on target (wind allowing!)
Here's the Viper 6-24x50 MRAD ffp on my .308 Remi

and a Vortex 1-4x24 TMCQ MRAD scope on my AR.

The .308 shot this group last Saturday @ 100M on Short Siberia
10 rounds (.168g SMK- 41g TR140, PPU brass, Federal 210 primer) I deliberately pulled the last shot right as I was getting worried I wasn't hitting the target! (target is in 1" squares)

The .223 shot this group with some experimental .77g SMK handloads (the targets 3" wide)

Not too shabby using just a X4 scope no bipod (just resting off my elbows).
