P14 and SLR magazines

#1 Post by meles meles »

We have been told that Winchester P14s can be adapted to use SLR magazines, and that someone here in the UK does this conversion. Anybody and idea who ?

Err why would you want to ruin a perfectly good milsurp by stuffing a magazine up its back side ?.

Less faffing around with stripper clips maybe and if it is a non destructive modification it could be fun.

If it's in 7.62 hasn't it already been messed with?

Indeedy: 'tis already converted to 7.62x51 and put in a target stock, so we aren't ruining an original P14. We already have original P14s in .303 and they are staying intact.

I just had a quick look and I reckon it is very doable and without a huge amount of hassle.

It's the sort of thing that Armalon would do but I've not seen or heard of it before.
