Pistol calibre carbines
We're just back from the range oomans where we had a chance to shoot a pair of nice pistol calibre carbines. Both were converted Lee Enfields, cut down to look like no 5 junglies. One was converted to fire 9mm rounds and the other .32ACP. Both were very accurate and pleasant to shoot. We feel a desire coming on...
What else in a similar vein is out there, or can be relatively easily made? We've seen the Armalons but they are tad pricey...

Does Sandgroper not have something like that in 9mm Largo?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I do indeed - a very nice to shoot, easy to reload for. I know of one other for sale and even though it has had scope bases added, I'd have it in a heart beat - if I had the money!Sim G wrote:Does Sandgroper not have something like that in 9mm Largo?
Ruger does bolt actions in 357 and 44 Magnum. Keep an eye out and you'll find Lee Enfields in various calibres for sale - I also have a magazine conversion kit (1911 magazines) for a No 4 Lee Enfield.

Any 1911 magazine will fit - so as long as a 1911 fires the round you can make a carbine for it.

Re: Pistol calibre carbines
When we emailed SIA about a year ago, they wouldn't export to the UK due to the effort / paperwork / cost involved...

I got mine via an RFD who managed to get some before the doors were shut - for memory he was clearing his stock and mine was one of the last or the last one he had.

We quite fancied a .45 ACP Enfield.

To be honest they should be easy enough to reproduce...
