New Toy

#1 Post by phaedra1106 »

"Toy" almost being the operative word in this case!

Picked up my new Advanced Armaments Corp Handi Rifle this morning (Thank you Adam! :good: )

It's a standard H&R Handi Rifle made to AACs specifications, chambered in 300aac Blackout, 16.1" barrel with a 1:7 twist smile2

I was a bit surprised by the actual size of it even though I knew they were fairly small!.

As a better indication here it is next to my Steyr SSG-04,

I'll take it up to Ponteland range on Sunday to run the barrel in, no doubt I'll be getting a few comments for only having a small one!

As John says, yes, it's a break barrel, scoped it up and just need a hammer extension for it, the Ruger Blackhawk pistol one fits so will get one from Ebay US and have my friend post it over unless anyone knows where there's one in the UK at a sensible price?.

Also need a moderator, according Wayne at North West Custom Parts the Wildcat Predator Compact is a perfect fit, comes to 2 or 3mm off the forestock.

John, I have 250 cases, I bought them on our last trip to the US from Brads Warehouse, they are re-sized Lake City 5.56 brass.

Mike, the cat always looks unimpressed unless there's food about, if you want to see a really unimpressed cat try this one, she never showed the slightest interest in what I was doing 2 feet away from her!, she's perfecting the dark Geordie art of doing "Buggerall"

EDIT,

Cat is now awake and is very interested, wants to borrow it to go hunting mice with! troutslapping

You'll not get the box back off the cat. Give a cat an empty box and it will entertain itself for hours!

Looking forward to your range report as I'm seriously tempted by it myself. It would be a bonus if I could just get a barrel to fit my 45-70 Handi rifle.
