e-petition to 'Reclassify .22 pistols as Section 1'

Responsible department: Home Office

The Home Office should reclassify .22 calibre pistols as Section 1 firearms. This would permit legitimate sportsmen & sportswomen to practice competitive target shooting sports as require by many disciplines, including Olympic qualification, in this country. There would be no risk to the public, sporting firearms are not linked to criminal activity.

thanks for bringing this up, however is it the same petition that has been doing the rounds for the last 6 months or so? hopefully it is and not another one which can only dilute the effort.

Not sure but I noticed that it had been put up on our home page so added it here.
