Wall gun racking?

I'm building a dedicated gun room to HO specs and would like to have my guns mounted on a display wall.

Those of you that are RFD's, or any shop owners, what racking system do you use?

I'm currently thinking about the "Slatwall" type system with moveable hooks that slot in to support the guns horizontally.
(Getting the panels is no problem, but not many places in the UK do suitable hooks.)

Or can anyone suggest another system of wall mounting guns?

TIA

Daryll.

If you don't need them to be secured to the wall Elfa boards/hooks would work. I use them in my 'mancave' for my tools but also put guns on them if I have more than one in at a time to clean/work on. Its not cheap but fairly freely available.

ok, thanks Blackstuff... Thats the sort of thing I'm looking for, but the only problem is that I'm looking to cover an area of about 8'x4', which would need about 8 of the largest Elfa boards...

I can do that with one sheet of Slatwall...

Obviously in the US there are several companies that specifically do "gun walls".. but none over here..

Would slatwall euro hooks not work if you put two bends in them to make them more of a U-shape?

yes, thats an option.. i'd want to make some sort of former to make sure they were all bent the same...

I've just been browsing guitars (my other guilty pleasure aside from shooting and cars), slatwall guitar hangers would work and there's lots of options according to Google, easier than fabricating your own from euro hooks!

Even if you build a gun room to HO specs, and have guns out on the walls rather than in cabinets, do you not still need a secure wire running through all the trigger guards and secured with a lock?? I knew an RFD who dealt from home, had such a room and vertical rifle racks on the wall and he said you still had to have a wire going through the triggers.
