Firearm Variation query

Looking at getting an AR15 based 9mmx19 straight pull for target shooting and hence filling in the variation form to add it to my FAC.
For the rifle, the two relevant questions are Calibre and Type. I assume simply '9mm' is sufficient for the calibre but is 'straight pull' the correct response for the type or should it be something else?
For ammunition, is 9mm sufficient or do I need 9mmx19?
I'm thinking of asking for 600 rounds (same as I have for my .308). I'll be reloading.
The force is Dorset if that's relevant.
Suggestions welcome!

9mm rifle, target shooting
ammo 9mm
that should be perfectly fine for them

I would agree with Bradaz11.
However depending on your county they may want more info.
Kent for example only seem to approve slots for a cambering rather than calibre (my 9mm slot had to be specified as 9x19mm for it to be approved)
If your force is like that though just leave it as 9mm and they will probably either phone or email you to confirm the cartridge. (and if not you get a 9mm slot which means you could go for a different chambering like 9x21mm or something)

For ammo i would ask for 1000 rounds (that is what I got for mine). worst case they drop it down to 600 or something but you can justify it as being a gallery rifle round so it will be shot a lot more than a fullbore rifle.
generally 600 rounds seems to be the go to number for fullbore cartridges most departments work to so i doubt they would turn it down for 9mm.

Thanks for the responses.
I'll just go for vanilla 9mm and 1000 rounds and see what happens.

Its a postcode lottery, my FLD requires the full description of both the ammo/chambering and the action of the gun, although because they seemingly don't have the power to update their system straight-pulls go on your certificate as 'bolt-action'

Whether the rifle is straight-pull, bolt action or some other action is determined at the time of purchase and not quoted on the application for the slot.
If it is declared on the vacant slot then that is the only action type you can purchase on it.
