The indoor .22 range that I go to is in the basement of a building built about 1900. I think it was originally a drill hall hence the 20 yard range being incorporated. On a shelf in the storage area, there is a collection of old targets that have been there for many years. A while ago, I had a look through them and took a few home. Some of the targets date from the Society of Miniature Rifle Club days and through to the NSRA of the 1950s and 1960s. I have scanned a few for you to look at if anyone is interested.
The first and oldest is a SMRC skirmisher target. The SMRC left the address on the card in 1929 so I assume the card is prior to that date, so over 90 years old. The target measures 6 1/2 inches wide by 7 1/2 inches tall.

The next is a SMRC Time Limit 50 yard card. the card measures 12 inches wide by 8 inches tall. The address on the card dates it to 1929-1939.

The next is a SMRC Match 50 yard card. The address on the card dates it to the 1939-1941 period. The card is 12 inches by 8 inches.

A few more to follow.

A few more.
Another SMRC Match 50 yard card. The address dates this to 1941-1947 period. It is 12 inches by 8 inches in size.

A SMRC 100 yard centre target. No address so not sure of the date of this one. It is just over 8 inches square.

A 25 yard target by Parker Hale for the SMRC so probably late 1940s, early 1950s?

The last three.
These are reduced targets for use on short ranges. I don't know the date of these, but I assume prior to WW2.
The first is No.31 Small Target (4 ft) 200/20 yards. The target is 5 1/4 inches wide by 5 3/4 inches high.
Number 31 4ft 200-20 yards a.jpg
The next is No.32 Small Target (4 ft) 200/25 yards. This is 6 1/2 inches wide by 7 inches tall.
Number 32 4ft 200-25 yards a.jpg
Last is target No.36 Large Target (6 ft) 500/20 yards. This is 4 7/8 wide by 5 3/8 tall.
Number 36 6ft 500-30 yards a.jpg
There are other NSRA targets from the 1950s and 1960s but this will do for now.
Regards
Peter.

Peter thank you for posting these images; a friend of mine privately published a book about targets in 2006 which appears to omit some of your images.
I suspect the subject of targets is a much bigger subject than we realise!
