I have seen a lot of good reviews of Medcert. I am wondering if anyone has had a bad one? As my nice shooting friendly doctor has retired and the new one refuses to do them, my missus has gone through Medcert for her SGC grant medical.
On their website it says that doctors have 4 weeks to submit the records and then it will take them 1 week to review.
Its 6 weeks since we kicked it all off. Just found out the doctors submitted the records straight away and Medcert have had them for the full 6 weeks.
It has taken an age to actually get through to someone at Medcert, when we finally did, they said to allow another 10 days.
A tad frustrating to say the least...

I have no experience with mercer’s but was under the impression they were not that quick.
I used shotgun medical, from me emailing them a copy of my records to having the letter they posted in my hand took two days.

The key to a quick turn around with Medcert is to obtain your own records (Your surgery has to supply them within 30 days) and send them to Medcert with your £50 fee. You should get the report withing three weeks.

+1 to this. The longest time (4 weeks) was obtaining my medical records from my GP. Once I sent these off to Medcert, I received the report a week or two later.

Thanks all. As I said, the doctors sent the medical records the day they got the request so no problems there. Report arrived just after speaking to them surprisingly....

Hello
I have just received my renewal letter from G.M.P and I am looking for alternatives just in case of my doctors decline.
I am aware of Medcert "thanks to the forum", but can anyone suggest any other private health concerns that offer this service.
