Even more ill thought out legislation.....

I was just having a look through the Antique Firearms Regulations 2021 which came into force earlier this year but are about to be enforced (end of the 'transition period') from 21 September 2021. https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... egulations
There appear to be more holes in this bit of daft 'media grabbing' legislation than in my dad' old string vest!
The whole obsolete cartridge thing is beyond me and the Sec58 handguns becoming Prohibited Weapons which are Sec5 but aren't and can be kept on a Sec1 FAC which doesn't require any "good reason" (with a condition never to be fired) but can't be sold as they are "particularly attractive to criminals and often feature in crime" - really?
I know all firearms legislation since the Pistol Act has been a pigs ear, but this latest lot is ludicrous.
