Spotting scope

I am after a spotting scope before I shell out does any one have any recommendations I am thinking to link it to a tablet.

I have one of these:

I've used it for microscopy, but I'll try hooking it up to my x60 spotting scope and see how it performs.

I've 3D-printed adaptors to marry cheap webcams to scopes for several club members. Maybe not great if you want to use it for bird-watching but fine for targets

For what it's worth, I have one of these:
http://opticron.vertouk.com/our-product ... fieldscope which will show 223 size holes on a target at 300yds.
It's used mostly for birding, and it's BIG...
For smallbore, I used an Opticron HR 66 GA ED. This will show .22 holes at 100yds..... I remember we tried it at 600yds in winter (good light, no mirage), shooting a 308 and it was possible to see the holes.
I've compared the Opticrons with Kowa and Swarovski in the past, and I can't see enough difference to warrant the staggering prices of the latter two.

I plan to try a similar setup with a 223 at 300yds. I know the scope can see it. The problem lies with the eyepiece camera that I have.
I could use a DSLR, but then there's the weight etc.

Have you thought about using one of the phone holders mounted on a spare scope. This is just a snap with my phone at 200 yards:

That's a pretty good result........but my phone doesn't have a camera. I'll try the digiscope approach.

I never thought of that I have a couple of spare scopes. It would save me buying a spotting scope.
