I use a variety including Dembart and Ullman and I also make a lot of my own. They are mostly used to sharpen or tidy up as opposed to cutting from scratch.

EDIT - Just checked the prices and ouch they are expensive these days!

I use gunline or dembart in the main the cutter are cheap enough and hold the edge well and cut however I use a fresh cutter on each new stock repointing they last longer

I looked into this a couple of months ago, but finding them in the UK proved difficult and expensive.

In the end I've ended up buying a laser engraver which has had some limited success on my revolver grips, that and i can use it for a lot more for the same price as buying a started set of checkering equipment.

Would still love to get into proper checkering and engraving later down the line though.
