One gun found and some bits!
Oh, and some ammo.
They are bigging it up aren't they.
It does prove that anyone with some engineering and machining skill can make a gun.

Surely it would have been easier for them to pop over to USA and buy an antique firearm, this seems like a lot more hard work...

Looks a tad more than that, they are saying 3 handguns and approx 30 others in different stages of production, three bags of ammo are shown (yes a real Ammo dump there!), and various metal in the fabrication process along with drawings / plans etc.

Big it up or not, they are stating its all illegal, not shaming the legal gun owners, hopefully the three named aren't FAC holders.

Yes it does highlight that anyone with a home workshop can manufacture a firearm, and maybe it will highlight to people that yes its easy but you will also get nicked for it.

No matter what the police are doing there job, no matter what people think of the gun laws in the UK.

Really hope I won't need to apply for a licence for my old lathe and milling machine, along with photographs and references. I'll be a real pain getting a variation when you need to buy new cutters. :)

You're joking (i think) but thats what was proposed in the European Directive at one point! kukkuk (Speaking of which, that all seems to have gone to nothing hasn't it??)

What I don't understand is why go to all that bother when legally owned firearms and obsolete calibre guns are so easy to get and use illegally and are the proven firearm of choice of the criminal and are the major firearms threat to public safety.

As we have just been told this week by NABIS courtesy of the BBC.
