Two more questions

Hi again,

Does anyone out there know when the next container full of Vortex scopes is likely to hit our shores? I've been sending myself up the wall looking for a Vortex Viper HST 6-24X50 sfp for about a week now and everywhere is out of stock. Except for the odd place that has stuck an extra £100 on the general asking price which is obviously why they still have some.

My Remmy 700 was threaded over here 5/8 UNF. Is this the same thread our American cousins use to thread their muzzle brakes? How many threads per inch is UNF?

Joe

Have you tried calling the places that have them at a ton more and say by you'll buy one for the going rate?

Sometimes worth a punt.

I could try that but they are probably aware of the demand . Hence the price hike but as you say worth a try.

not a demand if ppl know they are chancing it and waiting for someone else to get stock, they get left with it.

US muzzle threads are 1/2"x28 for 5.56/.223" types & 5/8"x24 for 6.8SPC & 7.62/.308"

US threads are UNEF

Not quite what you wanted, but close . . .

And if you can bear to have something a little less tecticool, the 6-20x50 Viper is half the price.
