I am looking for an off line ie Manual Primer and De-Primer for my .357 rounds - Anyone have a recommended product ? Plus if anyone has a system for sale please let me know

Been using a Lee 1000 Pro a nightmare for feeding the primers, so wanting to miss this stage out and primer manually.

Help a new one to re-loading

If you want to de prime away from the press the only alternative is to use the Lee hand press along with the Lee universal decapping die. This will set you back around £50 but will do the job.

For hand priming I would 100% recommend the RCBS hand primer. I have used the Lee auto prime and find it has horrible ergonomics, after 50 rifle cases my hands really ache. They also require a different set of she'll holders which is a pain. The RCBS priming device on the other hand (pardon the pun) feels much better and I can prime 200 rifle cases before feeling any aching. They also use standard shell holders that you use on the press.

There is also the RCBS Universal priming tool that doesn't use or need any shell holders.

As above, it's a superb bit of kit, expensive but well worth it.

I use a universal de-capper for removing and a Forster Co-axial Primer tool for seating primers. Downside of the latter is getting the primers in the tubes for the latter so I use an RCBS flipper tray and find it works very well for the majority of my applications.

I use a Lee de-capping dies in a small press, which I don't think Lee make any more---I bought it second hand for £15 about 10 years ago. The die has been bored out and will take anything up to and including 577 Snider. The handle has been shortened.
After cleaning, cases are re-capped using the old type Lee tools: I have three of them and a large selection of shell holders.

I like the Pope style decapper/cappers, pricey but nice I have them in a dozen or so calibres.

The Lyman 310 hand tool is a nice and compact hand deprimer primer

The RCBS priming tool is good but doesn't meet your depriming needs.

I have a spare basic old lee 1000p Pro Press given to me, so was going to buy a 3 hole turret and move my de-primer from my main press and use this to de-prime my shells. Then use a hand primer and then go back to my press for the powder and seating the head.

This look like it will work ?
