Cast Bullet needs identifying

Someone has emailed me these pictures and and asked if I can identify the bullet. He tells me:
It’s about 8.7mm in diameter but as its corroded that probably a bit bigger than its un-corroded state I guess. It seems to have some sort of a thickening towards the back end – looks like a lead sheath of some sort maybe. But the tail is only about 5-6mm in dia – it’s a bit bend up down that end

Thoughts anyone?

Could the little 6mm part be from a mould? The sprue part not being removed.

I've seen a .34" calibre mould but the bullet is a different shape. Not sure about the lead driving band (or whatever it is), is the rest of the bullet lead as well?
