Hi All
Gutted that my nemesis got blown over and my S&B 5-25 took the brunt. Luckily no damage to rifle or scope body (phew) but the scopes battery cover and parralax adjuster took the fall , its more annoying than anything else with the little dinks and scratches any suggestions on what to do with the damage ?

Leave the scratches, they're evidence of use.

I'm sure the scope looks much better now!

Get new caps from S&B but don't put them on until its time to sell.

My 4-16 PMII is a few years old now and has a few places where the paint has worn off as opposed to scratches and I think it just adds character however you can ship to S&B for a service and refurb or buy spare caps as suggested from Sporting Services. The good news is the S&B should cope well with such bangs.

A few years ago I heard a huge crash as a rifle fell out of a cabinet and hit the floor, I held my breath thinking crikey or words to that effect until I heard a cheery call "Nothing to worry about, it was just you Accuracy International hitting the floor" It shot perfectly on it's next outing.

TBH if a S& B or AI couldn't take a beating, I'd be very disappointed. both are designed with the rigours of life with a sniper. they look after them, but they don't get wrapped in cotton wool.

Blown over...... Was it a tornado by any chance... :run:

I'm sure the good folks on here would like a photo (not of the damage but the small bang stick) as many won't have had the pleasure of seeing one let alone shooting one bangbang
