Hi Ladies and gentlemen
Testing testing 1,2,3
I have noticed that there are a number of metal bashing types on this forum so I thought I would attach a 'how to use a lathe document' if its of any use to someone

.
I've got dozens of similar documents including using the milling machine, welding etc, if anyones interested I'll attach a load more.
Best regards
Fred

If you have something on knurling that tells me why I can knurl 9 identical items with exactly the same settings perfectly and then ruin the 10th I would be very interested.
For the record, I HATE KNURLING!

Id be happy if I could get two the same.
Any thing about machining is interesting to me. Its some thing I am keen to learn.

You can either pressure knurl or cut knurl, I use the pressure knurl process with two knurling wheels, I am tempted to move to cut knurling however the tooling is super expensive and not easy to set up. The really annoying part is I can get perfect results time on time and then suddenly I just rip the bloody surface to pieces and the part is scrapped. Very frustrating...
