I know this is a long shot but I've recently started in living history and have no equipment. If anyone has any WW1 British Uniform they no longer need please let me know.

I can supply new leather belts, bayonet frogs, leather rifle slings, etc.

As for uniform though, a clue as to what size you are/need would be a good help

Also - WHICH regiment? Some variations exist for different units in terms of fitting/styling, etc.

Thanks for that. Forgot to add my sizes.

Tunic 46" chest
Trousers 34-36 waist, long leg

This will be for the Manchester regiment.

Thanks

Salut,

I truly hope you don't intend to wear an original WW1 uniform in the field ... :o
Even avoid using anything original even webbing would be my advice, I have seen far too many good items ruined by re-enactors...

Please listen to Saddler and consider repro stuff . Alternatively, the War & Peace show is comming up real soon . There are many many businesses that make re-enactment uniforms & kit such as "Soldiers of Fortune" that will be attending and selling their stuff.

I full appreciate the sentiment. I am just trying to amass the basic kit required and would be happy with repro stuff at good price.

William lennon and co still have the pattrens and will make you a pair of first world war issue boots. Their work boots are quite good too, bloodly ugly but very comfortable.
