Whos a good egg to fix the broken firing pin in a Swing Mk4 Bolt? Tried a couple of smiths & they dont have any parts.
Tip has broken off.........duno how, just goes ping (good practice for the misfire procedure for one of our novices though!)

A guy in our club makes them, I will ask him if he has any in stock.

Have checked, he has none in stock.
Fultons usually have them apparently.

I have seen the job done (on my gun) in the field in 10 minutes with a medium screwdriver and a small allen key - nothing else. The critical bit is indeed having the spare firing pin, which can be turned on a lathe but needs appropriate heat treating - so you need a good machinist if you can't find a supplier. I have a spare in my toolkit, and I'm not selling it!

I assume the pin is held in place by a grub screw at the back or does it screw in as well? It does not look to be too much of a problem to build a new one.

Back grub is a tad mauled & a small imperal size, its also grub screwed on the front collar but smaller than any allen key I have, that un locks it & that collar is on a thread, so tp make a pin its turn to 3 diameters, thread, chamfer, grind end, part off & heat treat.
Teh fracture face is circular fatigue with spiral beach marks to a pip in the centre. If i can get a magnified pic of that will post it us metallurgists will be enthralled !
Might buy one.... mic it up then turn one out too.
£40 Fulrons seems most reasonable but also asked HPS.
